Transportation:
For those of you who want to save money on transportation to and from MathFest 2008, it is often cheaper to fly into and out of Milwaukee's Mitchell Airport, rather than flying directly to Madison's Dane County Regional Airport. If you choose to do this, Badger Coaches runs a regular direct service between Mitchell Airport and downtown Madison.
Tickets cost $20 each way.
Click here to download a copy of the schedule that will be running during MathFest.
You can reserve tickets by calling (608) 255-6771 or (414) 276-7490, or by visiting their website at www.badgerbus.com.
I suggest that you include a link to the high speed Lake Michigan car ferry in the travel section of the Wiki for Madison. This is a great way for people coming from the east (Michigan, Ontario, Ohio, etc.) to avoid the traffic bottleneck at the bottom of Lake Michigan. And it's a fun way to travel. There's also an older slow ferry (http://www.ssbadger.com/), but that requires an entire day of travel time just to cross the lake. Information about all scientific sessions and other official MathFest activities are available at the official MathFest website, www.maa.org/mathfest, where you may also register for the meeting and/or request housing, tickets to banquets, etc.
